Undocumented: A Framework for Community-Led Black Screen Heritage Practice shares learning from the first two years of and ’s work to address the historic underrepresentation of Black home movies in UK archives.

Bringing together the project’s approach, outcomes, Ambassador experiences and sector learning, the framework explores trust, shared authority, community expertise, care-centred practice and the importance of creating lasting opportunities beyond participation. It also offers practical questions for archives and organisations seeking to develop more inclusive, community-led approaches to collecting and screen heritage.

Undocumented was made possible thanks to the support of the BFI National Lottery Screen Heritage Fund, awarding National Lottery Good Cause funding.
